What is the difference between the summit and crater rim treks?

The summit trek climbs to the top of the volcano. The crater rim trek stops at the Senaru Crater Rim (2,641m), with sunset views over Mount Agung and Bali and an overnight camp.

Where does the trek start?

Day 1 starts at 08:00 with a 10-minute transfer to the Rinjani Trek Center. The hike goes through rainforest with a tea break at Pos 2 and lunch at Pos 3 (2,000m).
